How do I go about removing the child domain so that I can re-create the. I cannot add a new DC to the domain because it has no active servers to verify with. I have a child domain that has no active DCs, the servers that the DCs were on have been deleted. The one you mentioned is a "host based" printer and they will make your job a nightmare. HP has an extensive list of PCL5/6 Universal compatible printers. This means that we can use printer redirection in-house for our own systems and our accounting department can also print locally from our outside hosted accounting software that is delivered via Citrix XenApp. This also means that virtually every single machine that might connect to it will not have to install anything to connect and print to it. For the HP's we use a single PCL6 Universal Driver which means I can pretty much pop a new HP on the network and have it shared out in less than 5 minutes. We standardize on HP printers across the board with the exception of our large MFP copiers which are Kyocera. This model has duplexing which is nice, but no wireless, which I could care less about on a production printer. We have a ton of that model's predecessor (p2055dn) and they are still chugging along after three years of heavy usage. It works great with PCL6 Universal Drivers and if you want to use it as a USB printer it will work great with printer redirection in a Terminal Services environment as long as you use the Universal/USB mode driver.
